Hi! My name is Marjorie Biggs and I am a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and a dedicated movement educator with 17 years of experience in guiding movement.
As a graduate of an immersive 3.5 year Feldenkrais Professional Training Program (2022-2025), I specialize in helping people recognize and "unlearn" the subconscious movement habits that limit function and often result in tension, restriction, or pain. I believe the way we move is inseparable from how we navigate our lives, and my work focuses on illuminating these connections.
My approach is rooted in the Feldenkrais Method®, viewing movement as more than just exercise or sport, but as a powerful vehicle for neurological refinement and self-use optimization/expression.
I offer two primary modalities of the Feldenkrais Method:
Awareness Through Movement (ATM): Group lessons that use gentle/novel movements and verbal guidance to teach your brain new pathways for efficient action and greater comfort. (local or online classes)
Functional Integration (FI): Highly personalized, one-on-one sessions where I use gentle, non-invasive touch and guided movement to address your nervous system directly. FI is a sophisticated 'software update' for the body, promoting coordination, balance, and effortless power. (Breckenridge office or mobile/home visits)
Whether you are recovering from an injury, a high-level athlete seeking skeletal efficiency, an artist curious about deeper forms of self-expression, or simply want to move through the world with more grace and less effort, my goal is to help you feel deeply connected, remarkably capable, and more at home in your own body.
(Background Summary) My holistic background also includes a 900-hour Comprehensive Pilates Teaching Training certification from The Pilates Center, Boulder (2009), and over 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training (2017 & 2020), which informs my emphasis on slow, deliberate flow and mindful alignment. I also have a curiosity and background in the movement of the subtle body; Reiki I/II (2013) & Reiki Master (2019).
I’m looking forward to assisting with your Movement goals.
